KFMB AM 760, "San Diego Sports 760", has been a San Diego radio fixture since its inception in 1941. Originally owned by Pickwick Broadcasting Corporation, KFMB broadcasts on 760 AM and provides sports coverage to Southern California. Throughout its history, KFMB transitioned from full-service programming to Top 40 music in the 1960s and 70s, then to News/Talk in the 1980s, before adopting its current Sports Talk format in the late 1990s. KFMB, owned by Tegna Inc. after being acquired from Midwest Television, Inc., focuses on San Diego sports teams.
