WABC Oldies Time Machine 🇺🇸

The WABC Oldies Time Machine wasn't a conventional radio station, but a recurring, special programming event on WABC-AM in New York City. This fondly remembered feature recreated WABC's legendary Top 40 heyday. Airing sporadically, particularly in the late 1980s and 1990s, the Oldies Time Machine transported listeners back to WABC's golden age. A core element involved playing the biggest pop and rock hits from the 1960s and 1970s. The programming also incorporated actual recordings (airchecks) of WABC's legendary DJs from the past, like Dan Ingram, Cousin Brucie (Bruce Morrow), Harry Harrison, Ron Lundy, and Chuck Leonard. These airchecks included authentic snippets of their on-air personalities, jingles, and commercials from the original broadcasts. The WABC Oldies Time Machine programming also included vintage jingles and station IDs, further enhancing the nostalgic experience.
